On Sunday 19 September 2016, Prof. Dr. George Maat gave a lecture on the bipedalisation process in the human evolution.
Dr. Maat vividly explained how the human anatomy slowly adapted over a period of 5 to 6 million years to a new way of of moving – from a quadruped to a biped .
Although the human anatomy developed new aspects as a result of this process, many human features show that this transition has not yet been fully completed.
